King Charles' famous 'hunky' kilt-clad assistant was spotted by his side once again as he and Queen Camilla landed in France.Major Johnny Thompson, of the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland, is King Charles III’s equerry.
His job as the King’s equerry makes him responsible for the detailed planning and execution of his daily programmes. Fans were swooning over Johnny when he was seen by the King's side at the Coronation earlier this year and he joined the King and Queen on Wednesday on their state visit to France.
The couple landed at the city's Orly airport earlier today and were greeted with windy conditions as Camilla held on tightly to her pink Philip Treacy hat, and attempted to stop her dress by Fiona Clare from blowing around.They travelled on a private chartered flight from Farnborough on the "baby Voyager" Airbus and were officially welcomed by the French Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne and the French government.And it wasn't long before Major Johnny was spotted behind the couple carrying out his duties.Major Johnny has built up quite the fanbase after being thrust into the spotlight alongside the royals.
The "hunky" and "handsome" aide has been at the constant side of the King to assist him during the early days of his reign, and seems to have earned a promotion.The Major is from the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland and is often seen wearing a traditional kilt.
