King Charles' Dumfries House stage to be shared by talented schoolgirls and West End stars this weekend

A pair of Ayrshire schoolgirls have snapped up a golden opportunity of performing alongside West End stars this weekend.Paloma McIndoe, a pupil at Doonfoot Primary School, and Tarbolton Primary’s Bryley Rennie will take to the stage alongside stars of London’s theatre scene at An Evening of Music from the West End at Dumfries House.This year’s two-night special will see John Partridge - best-known for playing Christian Clarke in EastEnders from 2007 to 2016 - headline the show at the Cumnock estate on Friday 24 and Saturday, March 25.As one of the UK’s brightest musical stars, John has starred in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, A Chorus Line, Grease, Starlight Express, Cabaret, Chicago, Rent, among others.Joining John at An Evening from the West End will be We Will Rock You’s West End leading lady Jenna Lee-James and Ayrshire-based members of Musichoir Scotland.And schoolgirls Paloma and Bryley will also lend their talent and belt out hit musical tunes to a 300-strong crowd each night after being picked by Musichoir Scotland director Neil Thompson.Bryley, 12, said: “I feel really nervous but very excited at the same time.
