Kind-hearted schoolgirl raises hundreds for fire victims by selling tablet

A kind-hearted schoolgirl has warmed the hearts of those who lost their homes in the Whitelee fire by handing over hundreds of pounds from her tablet-selling business.Nine-year-old Charis Rae makes some extra pocket money selling goodies like tablet, fudge and macaroon door-to-door in East Kilbride, taking orders through her Facebook page Sugar Fix By Charis.The East Mains youngster saw the aftermath of last month's devastating fire in Whitelee with her own eyes and was horrified to hear families had lost their homes and all their earthly possessions in the blaze.The Halfmerke Primary pupil is a keen fundraiser for EK Community Food Bank and was determined to offer her support.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
