Kind-hearted Glasgow schoolboy with 'health issues' donates birthday cash to help sick kids

A kind-hearted schoolboy who is battling "ongoing health issues" has donated his birthday money to help other sick kids. Jack Murnaghan, 10, is regularly at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and is now raising funds to support other children undergoing treatment.

Despite his own health troubles, Jack, from the East End of the city, wants to help put a smile on the faces of other struggling kids, Glasgow Live reports.He selflessly donated £500 raised during a charity football tournament and early birthday party at SoccerWorld to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity's Games for the Weans campaign.The scheme raises money to buy video games, consoles, and adapted equipment for the boys and girls at the Sick Kids Hospital, to allow them to have some online fun while going through their treatment.

Jack's football tournament took place last Sunday and he made the donation on his birthday on Wednesday, May 15.His mother, Kirsty O'Shea, was beaming with pride as she spoke of her lad's generous exploits.

The mum-of-three said: "It's amazing and I don't think a lot of kids would even think about it. "The first thing he said, when he knew it was £500 raised, was 'that's one PlayStation bought'.
