Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson has said she will be "forever grateful" that the ITV soap asked her to return after her 2020 stint.The actress made her debut on the cobbles as sex worker Nicky Wheatley in June 2020 and was last seen on screen that September.She has now reprised the role and said on Loose Women that she feels really lucky.
Panellist Kaye Adams had been talking about how the actress had a bit of a "stop-start" because of the coronavirus pandemic, saying: "You were on Corrie, and then, of course, everything shuts up shop, and it looked as if it wasn't going to happen.""Can you imagine getting your dream job and then…" Kimberly replied.However, the star said it wasn't just her it happened to, as there would have been so many people in any lines of work who had just secured the positions they wanted when the pandemic rocked everything.She told anchor Kaye Adams and co: "I couldn't compartmentalise it at the time.
I got through it, we all did, you know."And I was so fortunate that they continued that storyline, how lucky I was that. You think that 'last in first out' vibes.
