Kilmarnock gym produces string of terrific results at opposite ends of the country

Kamma Gym in Kilmarnock recently secured success at both ends of the country following impressive results at two separate shows.

Junior fighters Jay Arnott, Nathan Kiltie, Angus Beck, Georgia Carmichael and Zach Gallagher were part of the MTB Show in Lindwood and produced fine performances.Zach and Georgia took part in exhibition bouts to kick things off before Jay picked up the gym’s first win of the day by first round stoppage.

Another win soon followed as Nathan claimed victory on points.Last up for the Kamma team was Angus who lost a close fight on points - but did earn the ‘fight of the night’ award which gives a re-match at the Hungryside SuperShow held at the Braehead Arena later this year.Gym mate Harvey Clark also earned a spot on the show recently after he won the fight of the night award at Mayhem Muay Thai in Ayr.Both boys will join senior fighter Kyle Donnelly who is also lined up to fight on the card as a Hungryside sponsored fighter.Meanwhile, down in Barnsley, the rest of the Kamma fight team were on the hunt for gold at the Sandee Open as a total of 13 fighters traveled down with coaches Justin Armstrong, Ian Clark, Liam Donnelly and Kyle Donnelly.First up for Team Kamma was five-year-old John McCormick who got to the semi-final stage before narrowly missing out on points.Joseph Hollywood, Sonny Milroy and Oran O’Neil made it to the quarter-final stage while Rhian Smith McGowne, Logan Cairns, Harvey Clark, Grace Miller and Sophie Bulloch reached the semis.Four members - Layla Bingz, Lilly Clark, Enzo Paton and Darcey Blue made it all the way to the final with Enzo and Darcey sealing the deal and becoming Sandee Champion and heading home with brand new Sandee Championship belts to show for their efforts.
