Killed off Corrie stars lands role alongside ex Emmerdale star and Strictly winner

Coronation Street's Peter Ash, who was killed off from the hit ITV soap, has landed a role alongside Emmerdale's Fiona Wade and Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba.The talented trio will swap the small screen for the big stage to star in the theatre production of Picture You Dead next year.

Peter, 39, joined Coronation Street as a guest appearance before securing the full-time role of Paul Foreman in 2019. After five years on the soap, Peter said an emotional goodbye to Weatherfield after his character's lengthy battle with motor neurone disease came to an end in heartbreaking scenes.

Just two months after his Corrie exit, it was announced that the National Television Award winner will return to the stage for the brand new stage production of Picture You Dead.

Peter has also starred in Footballers’ Wives and War Horse, with is new venture adding to his impressive achievements. Announcing his new role, Peter took to Instagram and shared: "Very excited to say I will be joining this incredible cast next year for @peterjamesonstage's brand new Roy Grace play, 'Picture You Dead'!
