After seven years as a professional on Strictly Come Dancing, Kevin Clifton decided that 2020 would be the year he said goodbye to the hit series to focus more on performing in musical theatre. He reasoned that he’d probably had the full Strictly experience during his time with the show – he’d danced with celebrities of varying dance abilities, and finally won in 2018, confirming months afterwards that he and his celebrity partner Stacey Dooley were in a relationship – and already had a few musical roles lined up for the year ahead.
