Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones has finally spoken out amid the ongoing controversies and scandals surrounding the popular dance show.

The professional dancer stated that "it's not about me" and she "absolutely cannot talk on others behalf", as she shared insights into her own rehearsal room experiences and her time dancing with eight celebrities over the years. The BBC programme has been thrown into turmoil in recent months due to allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards past contestants by two former dancers on the hit show, concerning their treatment of famous partners.Over the weekend, Graziano Di Prima announced his departure from the programme following allegations about his conduct towards Zara McDermott during their partnership last year.

Di Prima confirmed through his spokesperson last night that he did kick Zara during a training session but strongly denies spitting at the former Love Island star.Accusations regarding the teaching style of former Strictly star Giovanni Pernice have also emerged, notably from Amanda Abbington, all of which he categorically denies.

In response to these allegations, the dance competition announced earlier this week that they will be implementing new welfare measures, including having a chaperone present at all times during rehearsals.
