Amanda Abbington has shared how she feels 'exposed and vulnerable' on public transport because of online threats against her from Strictly Come Dancing fans.

The actress recently said the abuse had been 'brutal, relentless and unforgiving' in the wake of her official complaint about Giovanni Pernice.

Amanda has previously made accusations about the teaching methods of the dancer who has since left the BBC One show. Giovanni refutes any claims of wrongdoing following her claims of "unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean" behaviour.

Amanda has now told BBC Radio 4's Woman’s Hour on Friday (August 2) that she "stepped away from social media" after she received "incredibly toxic and relentless" online abuse.
