Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts can now mark their calendars as the BBC has announced the show's comeback. The dance contest's much anticipated return follows months of drama after former contestant Amanda Abbington accused professional dancer, Giovanni Pernice, of being "cruel" and "abusive" during their training sessions, which the pro denies.

There was speculation about the future of the programme, however the show's return date has now been confirmed - and fans can apply for tickets to watch the live shows.
