The Princess of Wales paid a subtle tribute to Prince William at the Remembrance Sunday Service in London earlier today. Kate Middleton, 41, looked elegant in a black military-inspired coat as she appeared alongside Queen Camilla on the balcony of the Foreign Office in front of the Cenotaph.
The mother-of-three paired her coat with a pair of pearl and diamond earrings, which are thought to have one belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II, as well as a trio of red poppies.
But Kate finished off her ensemble with a black Philip Treacy hat - which is complete with a black velvet bow. This is not the first time the royal has worn this accessory, owning the hat as early as 2006 - where she was seen wearing it at her future husband's passing out parade at Sandhurst.
At the time, Kate had only just graduated from St Andrews University and was working as an accessory buyer for the high street store Jigsaw. The event was one of her first public appearances as Prince William's girlfriend - becoming an indication of the pair's blossoming romance.
