The Prince and Princess of Wales have welcomed a young photographer battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer to Windsor Castle, inviting the teenager to capture images at investitures.
Kate, in an unusual public display of affection, was seen embracing 16 year old Liz Hatton from Harrogate.The meeting came after the princess, who has recently completed her own chemotherapy treatment, and William spent time with Liz and her family following Wednesday's ceremony.
In a heartfelt social media post, William and Kate expressed: "A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both.
Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. W&C."Liz shared her delight at meeting the Royal couple, describing them as "Such lovely, genuine and kind people, I’m over the moon that my family and I had this experience," and expressing her joy that her family could share in the experience.After being diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumour in January, Liz began a photography bucket list appeal.
