The 42 year old Duchess recently resumed public duties following her cancer treatment. Prince William, also 42, had been a supportive husband, clearing his diary to help care for Kate and their children.
But getting the royal children ready, especially Charlotte, isn't easy. It's all down to her hair, says Kate. During a visit to Cumbria in 2019, Kate confessed that she finds it tricky to style Princess Charlotte's hair.
She told a young girl who had given her flowers: "I love your plaits.They are so pretty. Who's done those, who's done your plaits?" Then she admitted: "I tried to do a plait with Charlotte this morning, it didn't work very well." Prince William has also spoken about the challenges of doing their daughter's hair.
