But the 33-year-old, who is isolating at his parents Carole and Michael's home in Bucklebury, West Berkshire, joked he was more worried about his dogs not recognising him.
The businessman recorded the moment he shaved off his bushy beard before unveiling his transformation to his parents and Alizee, 30, who he proposed to in October.
He captioned the video on Instagram: "It’s been 7 years since I last shaved so I decided to surprise Alizee..." The clip begins with James surrounded by his pooches while sat in the garden.
