The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, was joined by Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex as they made a united display standing in for the Queen at the annual occasion.

Kate wore a wrap-over flared coat dress with long sleeves, matching shoes and a striking fascinator with her brunette locks put up in a bun.

She also chose some summery details to complete her look as she opted for a floral clutch bag and a pair of stunning baguette-shaped diamond earrings for the 'do.
