Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh were seen sharing a touching moment at the end of the Remembrance Sunday service.

Sophie was seen affectionately placing a hand on Kate's back in a comforting gesture as they turned to head inside at the end of the solemn service.The Royal ladies observed the ceremony from the central balcony of the Foreign Office.Today, the nation was led by King Charles in commemorating those lost in conflict, observing a moment of silence to honour the servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Charles, donning his Royal Navy uniform as Admiral of the Fleet, paid tribute at the Cenotaph before saluting the war memorial.

Kate's husband, Prince William, dressed in his Royal Air Force uniform as Wing Commander, followed suit, laying his own wreath.
