Kate Middleton and Prince William’s marriage has been hailed as being ‘different’ to other royals by a royal expert. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary this year after being married on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey, dated for the better part of a decade.Following the couple's tenth anniversary celebrations, royal historian Sarah Gristwood spoke about the relationship, saying it has "done the monarchy a lot of good".
Ms Gristwood, who wrote Game of Queens: The Women Who Made Sixteenth-Century Europe, noted that, historically, the Royal Family marries to "cement" powerful alliances.
