mirror.co.ukKate Garraway was left feeling emotional as she reflected on her unconventional Christmas. The Good Morning Britain host was forced to spend her first Christmas without husband Derek Draper as he continues to recover from coronavirus.
Derek, 53, was hospitalised in March after contracting coronavirus and was put into an induced coma, which he woke from in July.
He uttered his first words in October, though Kate was left devastated as he had mouthed the word "pain" when doctors had been moving his body and asked whether it hurt.
Derek remained in intensive care throughout Christmas while Kate and her daughter Darcey and son Billy spent the day together.
