Kate Garraway has revealed the final words her husband Derek said to her as he thought he was about to die. The Good Morning Britain presenter has opened up about the heartbreaking moment in an emotional interview.
The 55-year-old has spoken publicly about his battle with coronavirus and the long-term impact it's having on him since he contracted it in 2020.
Derek has become the UK's longest inpatient in a hospital, and he almost died after being diagnosed with sepsis.And now she has opened up about what he believed was his final few moments, saying: "This is it, this time, I am gone," something Kate said was terrifying.
He spent a large part of 2022 in hospital but is now being looked after at home.
