At the height of the pandemic, author and former political lobbyist Derek caught the virus and has been battling the repercussions ever since.The family was forced to miss a trip because of Derek’s health, with Good Morning Britain host Kate, 55, also speaking candidly about the financial impact of is care and providing for her family.
Derek, 55, was pictured out and about in a rare appearance this week as he was pushed in a wheelchair by his carer on the way to the shops.
He sported comfy jogging bottoms as he braced for the elements in a waterproof coat and leather gloves. Kate, who is set to embark on a worldwide journey in the hopes of finding new treatments for Derek, has been incredibly candid about the experience and the effect it has had on herself and the rest of the family.
