GMB starts at 6am but Kate gets to the studio with hours of time so she can be briefed on the stories for the day and plan ahead.
She talked about the extent of her exhausting lifestyle on the show when she was discussing with her co host Ben Shephard the recent power cut the studio suffered.
The hosts were plunged into darkness while the entire server was down, leaving them no way to speak to their guests via video link, no microphones, and no air conditioning.
