Speaking to her co host Ben Shephard, Kate she had never experienced an explosion like it before and added: “It’s the sort of thing you actually dread”.
She had been attending a socially distanced gathering in Kent and was driving back to London, when the incident occurred. Kate said she lost control of the car as smoke and rubber flew everywhere, as she was forced to pull over and was left dangerously in the way of oncoming traffic.
It was Kate's first road trip with her family since husband Derek Draper was hospitalised with Covid-19. She begged the universe to stop bringing her back luck as she admitted
