Kate Garraway 'praying for a miracle' as she keeps vigil by Derek's bedside

Kate Garraway is "praying for a miracle" as her husband Derek Draper remains in hospital after reportedly suffering a heart attack.

Kate, known for co-hosting GMB, is said to be staying close to Derek, who became really unwell with Covid-19 back in 2020 and had to stay in hospital for a long time.

The 56 year old has stopped all her TV and radio jobs to be with Derek, even taking time off from her show Good Morning Britain, reports The Mirror.

Derek became unwell last Monday, and now his friends and family are said to be really worried. "Everyone is praying for a miracle," a source told The Sun, "Derek suffered a massive heart attack earlier this week which has left him fighting for his life all over again." They added: "It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing so well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family.This setback has been a huge blow for his family and all the people caring for him." The source shared that Kate is "by his side 24 hours a day", willing her husband to overcome his latest battle and once again beat the odds to "come out on the other side".They also praised how amazing Kate has been, caring for their two children, Darcey and Billy while supporting Derek.
