Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Kanye West misses key election deadlines after announcing he’s running for president

Kanye West only announced his plans to run for US president this morning but he’s already missed key deadlines. The All Of The Lights rapper tweeted on Sunday morning (5 July) that he hopes to make a bid for the US presidential elections taking place in November.

It would see him as an independent candidate going up against President Donald Trump and presumptive Democatic nominee Joe Biden.

And while Kanye, 43, likes to think big, he might want to act quicker as it seems he’s already missed the chance to appear on the ballot in six states.

According to Ballotpedia, Kanye would have needed to register as an independent candidate in North Carolina by 3 March, May 11 in Texas and 26 May in New York.
