Ethan Shanfeld “Ted Lasso” and “Fargo” star Juno Temple will lead a new A24 drama series, “The Husbands,” for Apple TV+. The London-set show, based on Holly Gramazio’s novel of the same name, follows Lauren (Temple), who returns home one night and is greeted by her husband, Michael — a man she has never met. “As Lauren tries to puzzle out how she could be married to someone she can’t remember meeting, Michael goes to the attic to change a lightbulb and abruptly disappears,” reads the logline. “In his place, a new husband emerges.
Realizing that her attic is creating an infinite supply of husbands, Lauren confronts the question: If swapping lives is as easy as changing a lightbulb, how do you know you’ve taken the right path?
When do you stop trying to do better and start actually living?” “The Husbands” is executive produced by lead writer Miriam Battye (“Succession,” “Dead Ringers,” “Beef”), lead director Craig Gillespie (“I, Tonya,” “Your Friends & Neighbors,” “Pam & Tommy”) and Annie Marter (“The Guilty,” “Nobody,” “The Devil All The Time”) with Fortunate Jack Productions, alongside Gramazio and A24.
Temple is best known for playing Keeley in “Ted Lasso” and Dorothy “Dot” Lyon in “Fargo.” Her credits also include “Venom: The Last Dance,” “The Offer” and the upcoming Channing Tatum film “Roofman.” Temple is represented by UTA, B-Side Management, Maison 2 and Lichter Grossman Nichols.
