The third installment of film franchise has been confirmed but it’s possible that not all of the original actors are coming back.
Julie Andrews, who played Clarisse Renaldi, the Queen regent of Genovia in the Disney movie, said that her participation in the new film might not happen. “I think we know that it’s probably not going to be possible,” Andrews told Access Hollywood. “It was talked about very shortly after [the second sequel] came out, but it’s now how many years since then?
And I am that much older and Annie the princess, or queen, is so much older. The coming-of-age comedy was based on the popular Meg Cabot novel series with Mia Thermopolis, played by Anne Hathaway, at the center of the story.
