Josie Gibson forced to present This Morning on crutches after injury causing 'excruciating pain'

This Morning's Josie Gibson turned up to present today's show on crutches after a 'nightmare' injury she suffered while on holiday.The bubbly host hobbled onto the ITV set, one foot in a medical boot, and shared her misfortune of being struck by a falling bathroom cabinet in her Dubai hotel room.

Recounting the ordeal to her co-host Alison Hammond, Josie said, "It was the second day of the holiday, I have always wanted to take my little one to Dubai.

I was brushing my teeth when the vanity unit came down on my foot," complete with a picture of the shattered cabinet that landed square on her foot.

Alison and the This Morning crew didn't miss a beat in cheering Josie up, as they surprised her with a snazzy mobility scooter decked out in gold trimmings, silver panels, and even a personalised 'Gibson' registration plate.
