José de la Torre, Actor From Netflix Series ‘Toy Boy,’ Dies at 37

Jack Dunn José de la Torre, who played Iván in the Spanish-language Netflix drama “Toy Boy,” has died. He was 37. Spanish publication Montilla Digital was the first to report that the actor died on Dec.

5 after a long battle with an unknown illness. A funeral service was held in Spain the day after his death. In June, de la Torre revealed he was diagnosed with what he described as a “serious illness” and had stepped away from acting to receive treatment the same month.

De la Torre was part of Netflix’s “Toy Boy” since its debut in 2019. The show ran for 21 episodes across three seasons until 2021.

The series followed Hugo Beltrán, played by Jesús Mosquera, a stripper who “sets out to prove his innocence for a crime he didn’t commit and was unjustly incarcerated for seven years earlier,” according to the official logline.
