Fans have been left both shocked and delighted to learn that actor Marc Baylis will be reprising his role in the ITV soap. He was last seen on the show back in 2017 as Rob, the younger brother of Carla Connor and former fiancé of Tracy Barlow, from behind bars following the 2014 murder of Tina McIntyre.
But it's been revealed that Carla's nephew Bobby Crawford will bring his dad back into his and Carla's lives in upcoming scenes as she becomes seriously ill.
As the new year gets underway, Roy Cropper is concerned about Carla as she starts hearing things and looking confused. He suggests she goes home and get some rest but, increasingly worried about her, he lets himself into her flat and finds her barely conscious on the living room floor and calls an ambulance.
