Coronation Street fans have been left gutted as one star seemingly confirmed their exit following their latest dramatic scenes in Weatherfield.

During Monday's (January 13) trip to the cobbles, fans of the ITV soap saw Bobby Crawford in danger as Matty Radcliffe lashed out in prison - but all wasn't as it first seemed.

As Carla Connor prepared for a procedure, in which a tube would be fitted so she could have dialysis at home amid her wait for a life-saving kidney transplant, her nephew Bobby again sloped off and paid his dad another visit in prison.

Rob claimed that he wanted to help his sister and make amends for the past after finding religion during his time behind bars but their conversation was interrupted when new inmate Matty Radcliffe caused a scene in the jail's visiting room, pulling out a knife and taking a female prison guard in his arms.
