Avicii has been released ahead of the forthcoming Netflix documentary about him titled Avicii – I’m Tim.The film charts the journey of Avicii – real name Tim Bergling – prior to his death in 2018 at the age of 28.
The Swedish DJ and producer became a household name of EDM in the 2010s, and the documentary was produced with the blessing of Bergling’s parents.“When I determined that he’d be the one who’d narrate this story, I thought that maybe it was how I could be close to him,” the film’s director Henrik Burman told Billboard. “Maybe that’s how I can meet him.”Ahead to its release today (December 31), Netflix (via Billboard) has issued a clip from the documentary that features previously-unseen footage of the producer working in the studio.

Of course, I talk to him every day. But, I admit, I get angry at him sometimes. Why did you do it? Why did you leave us?”In the days after his passing, his family issued a statement that appeared to confirm that he had taken his own life.“Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions,” they wrote. “An over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.
