Jonnie Irwin says 'I've been at death's door twice' amid terminal cancer battle

An emotional Jonnie Irwin has spoken about his devastating terminal cancer diagnosis, revealing how close he has come to tragically passing away.

The former A Place in the Sun presenter appeared on the OneChat podcast where he revealed he has been close to dying "at least twice" since the cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2020, spread to his brain.

Explaining how he has been getting through, he told the host that is aim is "to try and remain positive." "Positive for me is burying my head in the sand a bit," he added. "[My wife] Jess and I don't talk about it much and we've been close to death's door a few times now.Twice at least." While Jonnie, 49 and Jess, 40, try not to talk about his terminal diagnosis, they have begun putting things in place to make things easier for his young family after he is gone.

He said: "Financially, we're slowly getting stuff in place, transferring account details and putting stuff in her name but being positive such an important factor.
