Jonnie Irwin has opened up on one of the cruel aspects of his terminal cancer diagnosis. The TV presenter recently revealed that he travelled overseas for treatment after being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020, but the medical procedure caused irreversible damage to his liver, writes The Mirror.
The 49-year-old, who recently revealed he is yet to tell his three young sons about his cancer, announced last year that he didn't know how long he has left to live as the cancer spread to his brain.Back in November, Jonnie explained how he is trying to stay positive as he lives with cancer and shared how he has set 'little markers' - things he wants to be around for.
Speaking in a new interview, Jonnie told his fans about his most recent trip to Turkey for treatment and the damage it has caused.
He told HELLO! magazine: "It’s blocked in a place they can’t operate on, so there’s no point fighting the cancer elsewhere if the liver’s not working.
