TV presenter Jonnie Irwin made a rare public appearance today to join his former colleagues at The TRIC 2023 awards. The A Place In The Sun host was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020.
He was first diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2020 but decided to share the news of his illness last November, after the cancer spread to his brain.
His condition is terminal and Irwin has previously said he "doesn't know how long" he has left to live. The 49-year-old is best known for fronting Channel 4 property A Place In The Sun but has also presented Escape to the Country.
In 2022, he accused the producers of A Place In The Sun of axing him from the show after 18 years after he revealed his cancer diagnosis.
