Daniel Stendel has confirmed that John Souttar will be out for around six months once again as he recovers from another Achilles tendon injury.
The centre back was forced off after just 15 minutes of Hearts’ 1-0 William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final win over Rangers at Tynecastle last weekend.Stendel said afterwards that he suspected it was a bad one, and Souttar went for a scan on Monday to reveal the true extent of the damage.And the results have confirmed his worst fears, showing a ruptured Achilles tendon that will keep Souttar out until around September.The Scotland international is set to under the knife next week and will then begin his rehabilitation.Despite being a huge blow to the luckless 23-year-old, he does at least know
