The Big Bang Theory, John David Bowie, has been announced as joining the forthcoming spin-off to the show that is currently in development.Announced in 2023, details of the new show are unknown at this point, although creator Chuck Lorre said the show would be “derived” from the original series, which ran from 2007-2019.
Bowie will return as Barry Kripke, a colleague and rival of the show’s lead Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons).Deadline reported that Bowie will be joining cast members Kevin Sussman (Stuart Bloom), Brian Posehn (Bert Kibbler) and Lauren Lapkus (Denise), all of whom will be reprising their Big Bang Theory roles for this new offshoot.
