metro.co.ukJohn Leslie allegedly made a ‘solid grab’ of a woman’s breasts at a Christmas party, the court heard today as his sexual assault trial began. The former Blue Peter presenter is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met at a Christmas party more than 10 years ago.
Leslie, 55, denies sexual assault by intentionally touching the woman without her consent on December 5 2008. A new jury was sworn in on Tuesday to begin the trial, after the original jury was discharged on Monday because one juror was ‘unable to carry on’.In court, the woman accusing Leslie took the stand and said she had recognised the presenter at the gathering in London’s West End and had just introduced herself before he groped her.
