John Lennon’s killer Mark David Chapman is denied parole for the 11th time

th time, and will remain in prison for at least another two years. The 65-year-old, who fatally shot the Beatles star in December 1980, is currently serving a 20-year-to-life sentence at Wende Correctional Facility in New York.

The New York State Board of Parole said Chapman’s parole was denied following an interview on August 19, but the reason has it was denied has not yet been revealed, according to PA.

His next opportunity to appeal won’t be for at least two years, with him scheduled to appear before the board in 2022.John Lennon died at the age of 40 after being shot outside his Manhattan apartment in the Dakota building on the Upper West Side on December 8, 1980.He had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for Chapman before heading.
