There has been a change in plans for the COVID-19 vaccination policies for the upcoming 2022 Oscars ceremony, which will take place in Hollywood on March 27.

In an update to the Oscars’ announced Covid policies, presenters and performers at next month’s Academy Awards will not be required to show proof of vaccination, but nominees and guests will.

John Cusack, Cardi B and more celebrities expressed their anger and difference of opinion from President Donald Trump after he held a press conference about the nationwide protests for the justice of George Floyd on June 1 and threatened to potentially illegally use the American military against the American people after violent protests. The speech came hours after the Washington D.C. police teargassed and and used rubber bullets and pepper spray on at least 1000 protesters in front of the White House and in it, the Commander-in-Chief said that although he is “an ally of peaceful protesters”, he will step in if cities or states “refuse to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents.”

John Cusack went from actor to intrepid reporter, live-tweeting from the Chicago protest on Saturday and even getting attacked by an aggressive police officer.

Actor John Cusack posted a harrowing video from the Chicago protests on May 30, claiming he was “attacked” by police officers. The 53-year-old said he was simply filming the riots, incited by nationwide outcry  from the Black Lives Matter movement, when cops repeatedly hit his bike with a baton. In the blurry video, which he posted to Twitter, a man could be heard aggressively yelling: “Get the f**k out of here! Go on move! Get that bike out of here!”
