'Snake' Plissken (Kurt Russell), who's offered a pardon if he rescues the President of the United States from anti-government insurgents.The $6M-budget film - also starring Ernest Borgnine, Harry Dean Stanton, Adrienne Barbeau, and Isaac Hayes - went on to receive critical acclaim and amass $25.2M at the domestic box office.
