Joe Biden To Sit Down With NBC News’ Lester Holt For Latest One-On-One Interview
deadline.comJoe Biden will sit down with NBC News‘ Lester Holt for an interview on Monday, the president’s latest one-on-one with a network anchor amid calls for him to drop out of the race.
NBC News has planned for a primetime special, to air at 9 p.m. ET, just as ABC News did last week when the president was interviewed by George Stephanopoulos.
Highlights will air the same day on NBC Nightly News and NBCNews.com. The interview also will stream on NBC News Now. Biden’s interview will come on the first night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
Holt will interview the president in Austin, TX. The calls for Biden to step aside continued today, as megadonor George Clooney published an op ed in The New York Times calling for him to exit the race.
