NBC News’ Peter Alexander noted that Donald Trump was using the gaffe to mock Biden’s age and memory. Asked how he would address that criticism, Biden smiled and said, “Listen to him.” He also laughed off a verbal gaffe earlier in the day when he referred to Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, as “President Putin.” Biden called on 11 reporters.
