A holiday flight from Majorca to Glasgow had to carry out an emergency landing at Manchester Airport after a passenger became unwell today.
Jet2 flight LS190 took off from Palma in Majorca just before 9am UK time but a passenger became unwell as the flight sped over northern England.
As the plane was cruising at 24,000ft, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing, circled over Huddersfield for a time and then landed at Manchester Airport, where the Boeing 737 was met by paramedics who took the passenger to hospital. The passenger's condition has not been revealed. The Jet2 service took off later and completed its journey to Glasgow, landing at 3pm.
