Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard could be edging towards a Premier League lifeline, according to fresh reports.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since the end of last season when he was released by Nottingham Forest. Lingard's stint at the City Ground was not ideal having made just 20 appearances, registering only two goals and two assists.
Since leaving the East Midlands, Lingard has been searching for a new chapter in football. The midfielder briefly trained with David Beckham's Inter Miami and spoke about being open to a move to Saudi Arabia.
In recent weeks though, he appears to have been handed an opportunity at West Ham United. During the 2020/21 season, the midfielder joined the Iron on loan for the remainder of the campaign and enjoyed his best form in years, scoring nine goals and grabbing five assists in just 16 appearances.
