Jeremy Clarkson, 61, has seen some setbacks in the planning of his Diddly Squat farm shop, which opened in 2020. In April 2021, it emerged that the former Top Gear star had lost a planning permission appeal on the basis that the materials used to build the store were not “visually harmonious”.In a bid to homogenise his property with the traditional Cotswold structures in the surrounding area, Jeremy has now changed the green steel roof on the shop.On Tuesday, the material was swapped with Cotswold tiles, according to MailOnline.According to a source who spoke to the aforementioned outlet, Jeremy had attempted to keep the steel roof. The council insider said last April: “As the application has been refused he will have to change it.”Jeremy has faced fierce opposition from locals in the West Oxfordshire area since starting his venture there. His farm was recently blamed by a local villager after she was late for a medical appointment. The area experienced an increase in footfall and traffic last month ahead of its two-month closure.A local resident hit out about traffic chaos around the Chipping Norton estate, blaming it for a delay in getting to an appointment. The villager has claimed the Diddly Squat Farm Shop caused "complete chaos”.The unnamed female told Oxford Mail: “It is complete chaos – I was 20 minutes late for a doctor’s appointment due to queues.“They have parking management on the entrance of Clarkson’s farm who are instructing cars to park on the road.“The cars parked to go on for more than a mile.
