Jeopardy host Alex Trebek has opened up about living with his incurable cancer a year after his diagnosis. The legendary gameshow presenter, 79, has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and described how happy he is to be one of the 18% of patients who survive a year living with the life-threatening illness.
Stage 4 cancer is the highest level, which means it's incurable at this point, and will spread to other parts of the body. Alex explained: "The one year survival rate for stage four pancreatic cancer patients is 18%.
I'm very happy to report I have just reached that marker." He detailed his best and worst days, and admitted it was rather up and down throughout his diagnosis. "Now I'd be lying if I said the journey had been an easy one.
