Jennifer Lopez Dishes On Undergoing Combat Training For Netflix's 'The Mother'

In a new video shared by Netflix on Twitter this week, the 53-year-old actress revealed she underwent special training for knife fighting, hand-to-hand combat, and sniper training, and added just her dancing background helped her with all three. Even in the fighting, it’s like learning a technique of a new kind of dance,” Jennifer shared in the featurette shared for the movie.
She added that “to look like you know how you’re doing it, you really have to kind of master the body positions and movements.” As far as the knife fighting, Jennifer revealed that she started out with a dummy knife. “You don’t wanna play with anything that’s not it,” she says. “Of course, when we’re doing the actual fight, we’re not using a real knife either.” “Actually, it was a lot of fun, once you get into it,” Jennifer added. “It’s taxing, though.
