Jennifer Garner plays a bit of her saxophone on stage while being honored as Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year 2022 on Saturday (February 5) in Cambridge, Mass.
The 49-year-old actress kicked off the afternoon’s ceremonies by cruising in a parade with members of the theatrical group in drag. “I guarantee my day was better and more fun than yours,” Jennifer said on stage later on at the event. “I am a devoted member of the Hasty Pudding Club from now on, and I will be a nerd in the audience next year, I promise.
This has been the most fun day ever.” While being celebrated, members of the troupe poked a little fun at her former roles and in a nod to her film Yes Day, she was asked a series of questions that she had to answer and the first one was about the details of her first kiss. “It was a guy named Matt Crittenden.
He tried to go further than a kiss, and I swatted it away. He broke up with me the next day because he said I was a prude, which was a badge I’ve worn proudly ever since,” Jennifer said, laughing. “I was 18!” Previously, the Hasty Pudding organizers said they chose Jennifer based not just on her career as an actor but also because of her record as a philanthropist and entrepreneur.
