After an intense search for the missing Jay Slater in Tenerife, his family were informed that his body had been discovered in a remote ravine, near to where his phone last pinged.
The 19-year-old bricklayer from Lancashire, England, disappeared after attending a music festival with friends on the Spanish island, and never returned to his hotel.
It is believed that Jay died immediately following a 'fall or plunge' in the harsh landscape, where he lay for 29 days before being discovered, the Mirror reported.
The Mail Online reports that the Slater family were advised against viewing Jay's body in the morgue, so were unable to get closure from the viewing.
